PROMOTION OF UDC TO THE POST OF ASSISTANT-CONDUCTING SECOND
BATCH TRAINING-REGARDING.
FOD HAS ISSUED ORDERS FOR 5 WEEK'S TRAINING OF UDCs WHO HAVE
COMPLETED 10 YEARS REGULAR SERVICE. THIS TRAINING IS PRE-CONDITION FOR
CONSIDERING THEIR NAMES FOR PROMOTION TO THE POST OF ASSISTANT. CONSIDERING THE VOLUME OF POSTS OF ASSISTANT
LYHING VACANT IN FOD OFFICES, A REQUEST FOR RELAXATION OF QUALIFYING SERVICE
FOR PROMOTION OF UDC TO THE POST OF ASSISTANT WAS SENT FOR CONSIDERATION. WE
EXPECT A SECOND BATCH TRAINING FOR UDCS WHO HAVE NOT COMPLETED 10 YEARS ON THE
POST, IMMEDIATELY. A LETTER IN THIS RESPECT IS BEING SENT TO FOD HQRS FOR
CONSIDERATION.
Sir,
ReplyDeleteIs this ammendment rule is a mandatory process for udcs working in all govt. Departments or this is issued specifically in consideration of FOD employees?
Thanking you.
TJ
It is mandatory. Since the posts holding Grade Pay 4200 and onward have been declared as Group B, it has made mandatory to send the recruitment rules of these posts to UPSC for ratification. And the UPSC has made 5 weeks ISTM Training mandatory for UDCs as pre condition for promotion to the post of Assistant.
DeleteSir,
DeleteFirst of all, thank you for your early response and your efforts towards ldc-udc issue is remarkable.
However, it is pertinent to mention here that, the residency perod for ldc to udc and udc to Asst may be reviewed. It appears that, 8 years and 10 years for ldç to udc and udc to asst respectively is not justified.
An ldc within maximum 6 years of regular service gains the work staus of udc and independently handles a responsible dealing seat. Similarly, in the case of udc, they hardly take 5 year continous service to gain the status of Assistant.
Thanking you.
