Model Recruitment rules for Multi tasking staff ordered by DOPT

DOPT has ordered model recruitment rules for the erstwhile group D staff and all Departments have been asked to finalize the same making amendments if any in consultation with Ministry of Law. The new designation will be “MULTI TASKING STAFF”. The Minimum Educational Qualification required is fixed as 'Matriculation.

It has been clarified by the DOPT Order that the Multi tasking staff will be Group C, Non Gazetted & Non-Ministerial. The duties for the post prescribed in the annexure II are of the duties of the erstwhile group D staff

It is clear that the duties performed by the Ministerial Staff, as did in some FOD Offices, cannot be allotted to the Multi tasking staff. In case of allotment of work worth to do by the group C Ministerial Staff to the Multi tasking Staff, higher pay scale should be given to them.

Full Text of DOPT orders can be downloaded from the website of DOPT i.e. www.persmin.nic.in
