MACP ON PROMITIONAL HIERARCHY
Case No  21803/2014

Updates of today's/Final hearing-

Advocate C K Sasi (AOR), who was well briefed by us, argued the case for M V Mohanan Nair. Advocates, representing to other respondents also done commendable job. Actually it was a well organised team work. Amicus Curiae presented the case extremely well. He also submitted a written statement of his arguments to the court. As a result,  the court realized the following:
1)    There are anomalies in MACP scheme as evident from Minutes of Meeting of Anomaly Committee.
2)    These anomalies are affecting Group B & C employees and no impact on Group A.
3)    These anomalies have life long impact.
Arguments have been completed and the case is now reserved for orders. We expect a judgment allowing MACP on promotional hierarchy.

Thanks

for Steering Committee

  10. I am also one of the severely affected staff by this MACP Scheme. If the verdict is positive I will be very much thankful for the Steering Committee as well as to the Hon'ble SC Judges. But the Judgement should be clear i.e. it is applicable to all CG Servants with retrospective effect. Lets pray God for a positive Verdict...

  14. Only group C and group B employees are affected due to various pay scales 1900, 2400, 4200, 4600, 4800, there so there' are lot of anomlies in 6 pay commission. I hope MACP on promotional hierarchy and not in next garde pay. And it should be implement for all C.G employees.

  19. I am a person severely affected by the MACP Scheme. I got my 1st MACP from GP 1900 to Rs.2000/- after a Service of 10 years and got my 2nd MACP on completion of 20 years from Level 4 (GP 2400) to Level 5 (GP 2800) only. Hope that the Honourable Supreme Court's verdict is positive and giving a relief to all Central Govt. staff (Group C & B). I am keeping a track of all the developments in this case and I will be very much thankful for the Steering Committee for their continuous efforts. Let us all pray to God for a Positive Verdict in favour of the affected Employees.

  25. LDC on 1991, UDC on 1995 Grade Pay Rs.2400 & Last and final MACP on 29.8.2008 Grade Pay Rs.2800. I have already completed 10 years service as the same MACP with same post i.e, UDC. I am very much excited about the above MACP PROMOTIONAL HIERARCHY FINAL ORDER.Now I am a retiree but it's my only expectation is to provide me the MACP through PROMOTIONAL HIERARCHY w.e.f. 01.09.2008 (grade pay Rs.4200).It's for your info. that in Rs.2800 grade pay I have completed 10 yrs of active service but I am not shifted to Rs.4200 grade pay as my department said I have already got three scheduled promotions.
