The case for upgradation of grade pay in respect of LDCs is really required to be addressed before the government by the JCM & associations. Postman, Police constable & Sepoy of the army a, all were upgraded to higher grade pay. On the other hand the only educational qualifications in respect of LDCs were raised by the government. Further LDC is required to have sound knowledge of computers and need to be tech savvy. The charter of duties of LDCs as on date is completely different from what is inscribed in records. Further even CCS was compelled to change the nomenclature of LDCs which shows the government recognizes the drastic change in duties of LDCs.

ReplyDeleteIn my department ( Lighthouses & lightships), Light House Attendant was recommended upgradation to 1900/- GP from 1800/- GP But it is a group D post having only Matriculation Pass . you should know that there is not any technical degree as 7th pay commission stated this post possessed ITI degree and his working nature is very hard. But LDCs problem have not considered as they even perform their duty whole of duty hour without breathtaking .This is not fare. LDCs has 12th passed degree will now get less payment in comparison of LHAs who possessed 10th passed degree. please All LDCs raise these issues with huge intense.
ReplyDeleteLDCs are the most downtrodden class of employees in the government despite of being the most hardworking. On the other hand certain industrial employees come to office at 10 and leave at 12pm yet they enjoy pay benefits by the influence and intervention of unions.
